A lean satellite is a satellite that utilizes untraditional risk-taking development approaches to achieve low-cost and fast-delivery with a small number of team members. The lean satellites have possibility to strengthen the basis of space sector and revolutionize space application, which benefits not only to people in the space sector, but humankind and society. To promote the growth further, their environment needs to be improved in various areas. This paper deals with international standard. Currently three international standardization activities related to lean satellites are in progress at ISO/TC20/SC14. Those are ISO/DIS/1770 (CubeSat), ISO/DIS/19683 (Testing), and ISO/CD/20991 (Requirements). In the present paper, contents of ISO/DIS/19683 and ISO/CD/20991 are presented in detail.
